U.S. Homebuyer Tax Credit Extension and Expansion!!

Exciting news for homebuyers!  The Homebuyer Tax Credit and Extension has been passed.  The new agreement includes the following provisions:

First-Time Homebuyers will receive a $8,000 tax credit -- same definition as current law.

Repeat Purchasers will receive a $6,500 tax credit -- must have used previous home as a principal residence for 5 of the 8 previous years.

Income Limits are $125,000 for single filers / $225,000 for joint filers.  The same limits apply for both first-time and repeat/move-up buyers.

Timeframe is December 1, 2009 to April 30, 2010.  Also included in the agreement is a 60 day extension if a binding contract is in place by April 30, 2010.

Maximum Purchase Price is $800,000.
